Vijay Kumar Sridharan is a Vice President for Software Engineering at Goldman Sachs. He works on developing self-service initiatives that serve over 12 million people in the United States for the Apple Card portfolio.
Previously, Vijay worked as a Lead Software Engineer at OneMain Financial, where he led the development of self-service initiatives and chatbots, including the company’s first chatbot during the COVID-19 pandemic. He also spearheaded the implementation of the Check Capture solution, enabling customers to upload checks for payments via mobile apps and branch tablets, significantly boosting processing speed and operational efficiency. His work earned him the prestigious Main Event Award from OneMain’s Chief Technology Officer, Larry Fitzpatrick.
Vijay holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a master’s in Management Information Systems. He is pursuing a postgraduate degree in AI/ML from the University of Texas at Austin, Texas McCombs School of Business. He began his career as a Software Engineer at Cognizant Technology Solutions in India.
Outside of work, Vijay enjoys playing the piano, composing songs, and working on DIY projects around the house. He is passionate about leveraging technology to create seamless customer experiences and is always eager to learn and grow while making a difference through innovative software solutions.
