Kabilan Kannan is a seasoned Embedded System Engineering Specialist with over 20 years of experience in embedded software, memory technologies, and system-level firmware development. He holds extensive expertise in DDR5/LPDDR5 memory training, JEDEC standards, Linux and QNX device drivers, and embedded firmware across multiple microcontroller architectures. At AMD, he leads DDR5 memory training, bootloader optimization, and advanced firmware development for next-generation processors, integrating AI-driven techniques to enhance reliability and performance. Previously, as a Firmware Principal Engineer at Dell, he contributed to UEFI firmware, security patches, encryption technologies, and platform driver integrations. During his decade-long tenure at Qualcomm, he played a key role in WLAN driver development, protocol implementation, automotive infotainment systems, and global product commercialization. Kabilan is an IEEE member, an active reviewer for multiple international conferences, and a published author in cloud, Kubernetes, and edge-computing research. He is known for his strong debugging skills, technical leadership, and adaptability.
