Dr. Sumit Kumar is currently employed as a Scientist/Subject Matter Specialist (SMS) at the Department of Plant Protection, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Mau, under Acharya Narendra Deva Uni. of Agri. and Tech., Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. He earned his B.Sc. (Ag) from SVBP Uni. of Agri. and Tech., Meerut, his M.Sc. (Ag) from CSA Uni. of Agri. and Tech., Kanpur, and his Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. Dr. Kumar has authored numerous research and review articles published in esteemed national and international journals, as well as contributed chapters to edited books. His research interests encompass plant disease management, biological control, and plant-microbe interactions. Dr. Kumar is a lifetime member of both the Indian Phytopathological Society in New Delhi and the Society for Plant Research in Uttar Pradesh. He has also been honored with the Best Poster Presentation Award and the Outstanding Research Scholar Award.
